You own everything we build.
Your company owns its own instance, including the code, the prompts, the knowledge base and the data. You can change it, move it or hand it to another vendor and it keeps working. Most AI agencies build on their own platform and rent it back to the client.

Flexible options.
Many of our engagements run month to month on a flat fee, with no annual contract. Either side can end it with 30 days' notice. The only reason to keep working together is that the last month was worth it.

A person interviews every person.
Discovery is a 30 to 60 minute one-on-one conversation between our team and each person on yours. We don't send an AI agent round to collect complaints. People tell a person things they won't type into a screen, and the roadmap is only as good as what they tell us.

Every role gets trained.
Training goes to the people who do the work, using the files and reports they open every day. Everyone attends, including leadership. An AI policy the front desk has never seen doesn't change how anyone works.

We only build what pays back.
The first month ends with a ranked list of what to build and what to leave alone. We tell you in writing which ideas won't pay back, so you can make that call before anyone builds anything.

Julian Wells is a Co-Founder & Partner at North Group and an AI expert in strategy, training, and transformation for real estate, construction, and consumer goods companies. He has led AI rollouts from project platforms for builders to finance and marketing automations for CPG brands. Before North Group he founded Studenthaus, a data platform for student housing developers. He was named to BC Business's 30 Under 30 in 2023. He co-hosts Building The North.

Taylor Duncan

Co-Founder & Partner

Taylor Duncan is a Co-Founder & Partner at North Group and an AI expert in strategy, training, and transformation for hospitality, home services, and professional services companies. He has led AI rollouts from property-wide training weeks for hotels to quoting systems for trades businesses. Before North Group he built Viral Fusions, a marketing agency for growing brands. He was named to Douglas Magazine's 10 to Watch for 2026 and finished second at EO's Global Student Entrepreneur Awards in Canada. He co-hosts Building The North.
